My Blue Bird Houses are made to Audubon specifications with additional features for bird comfort, safety and longevity. This blue bird house is made with a replaceable roof and vented under roof to let the heat out and a vented bottom. The side door opens for clean out and inspection. They have slots on the inside to make it easier for the birds to climb in and out and look out the window before they leave and make sure there are no threats waiting for them or approaching. All are made from white cedar from a local sawmills here in New England. Assembled with weatherproof screws for disassembly or roof replacement should you need that years from the day you put it outside. The roof is made over sized to shed rain and increase the durability and longevity of the house and keep the hot sun off the top of the house! These are available for local pickup here in New Haven as well as for shipping anywhere in the US.
