When a customer asked me if I would restore their 1963 13' Boston whaler there was no way I was going to turn the opportunity down. I had one of these growing up back in the sixties and have any find memories of hopping waves, pulling my lobster traps, fishing, water skiing, you name it, we had fun in that boat! This page will take some time to scroll through but check it out. This boat came to me in pretty bad shape but still serviceable. No spongy foam yet though soon there would be. I started by pulling everything out of it and turning it over and sanded the bottom to expose any and all damage and defects. I got hold of this boat just in time.
Repairing the bottom of the Boston Whaler 13
Restoring the brightwork.
The old wiring systems on these older Whalers wasn't exactly stellar from the get go.
I got it working again but sooner than later the wiring harness will have to be replaced and run on the face of the hull inside the boat. The original wiring is inside the foam of the hull and always rotted out and couldn't be replaced as is.

What I got and what I gave back.
