Basement Drywall Repairs and Upgrades
Areas like this, the trim needs to come off and the drywall needs to pass behind the trim. Otherwise the seem will never heal.
All of this stuff will need to go out to the garage before starting the job. I'll help if you need me.
All the recessed lights have rough areas around them requiring sanding.
I'll have to put some blocking around the edges to hang a piece of drywall in this hole.
Once the toilet and vanity are out of the way it will make sense to just cut a piece out across the entire bottom and place a new clean piece in there instead if trying to patch up multiple ragged holes and dents.
I'll want to make a notch in this last stud to recess the wiring and then put a cover metal plate over the wire so some one can't drive a nail though the wire now or in the future.
Areas like this I'll want to grind off the paint to make sure the tape and mud have good cohesion on the surfaces.
